♥"Dear Victoria I just wanted to drop you a quick note to you regarding the resounding success of the wonderful chocolate cake you made for my mother's 80th Birthday. It took pride of place on the table at the restaurant where we had hired a private room. My mother was bowled over by the design.All present were licking their lips at the end of the meal, where we shared the bottom layer (with coffee) to all present. As you suggested, my mother took the top layer home to share with her close friends. But when I enquired if her friends had enjoyed the the cake, my mother came over all quite, then said it was too nice to share with her friends and she was keeping it for herself to have with afternoon tea. We all had a wonderful time time at Lady V's - the setting and the anbience were perfect! We went on to have a great night, finally getting home around 2am. The first thing on my mind when I got in was all the cake and sandwiches we weren't able to manage earlier...
